2 Timothy 3:  14-17
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1: 20-21
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Things to Think About
What role does Paul know that scripture played in Timothy's life?  How do you believe scripture can mold a life?

What do you believe about scripture?  Would you say you prioritize scripture and what it teaches in your life?  Can you say that if you do not know what it teaches?  What are ways you could prioritize scripture more in your life starting today?

What are reasons you can think of to prioritize scripture with the children who are in your life? How important is it for them to know God's Word?  How will this affect their life?

Equipping our Kids
Have a conversation with your kids about how we got the Bible and that is God breathed and true.   If they ask questions you do not know, it's ok to say you don't know and you will get back to them.  That just means you get to have another conversation with them when you find out the answer.
